| The Story Behind The MusicToward the middle of 2006, writing music to the Psalms was impressed upon Celia Perillo of The Pear Tree 7. This was confirmed by her husband, Luigi, when one day out of nowhere he said that she should write music to the Psalms. They had hardly ever discussed the Psalms in their 20+ years of marriage. This was the first confirmation followed by many others. Inspired with melody after melody that fit beautifully with the words of the Psalms, Celia began writing. She carried a manuscript pad everywhere as the music would come to her at various times, even in dreams. It was truly inspired by the Lord and many have felt a touch of the Lord upon listening to her and her daughters perform. Once Celia was ready to start recording, the Lord made a way for this to be possible. He truly guided the whole project. All of Celia's five children are musically gifted although the first CD was mostly sung by Michela and Julia because Jenny was away at college. The recording process for "Fruit for the Spirit" began when Michela and Julia were 13 and 8. They are now 17 and 12. This whole process of memorizing the words of the Psalms to music was key in bringing about much healing within the Perillo home and Michela can personally testify that the words of the Psalms truly "came alive" for her. Celia always says "The greatest way to remember words is when you set them to music". May these words from heaven and inspired melodies bring you the same joy and peace that they have to Celia and her family and to all that have heard the CD and experienced it's ethereal quality. Some have said they've experienced healing, others, peace, and one even felt that it was "like receiving a hug from the Lord." This music will bless you in a personal and powerful way. |
